Important - NHS services across the North West are experiencing extremely high demand at the moment – this includes GP practices and the 111 service which are both extremely busy. If you need advice for an every-day illness or injury, please either contact your local pharmacy for help or look at the self-care advice that’s available on-line from the NHS at www.nhs.uk.  If you want to check your symptoms, there is an on-line symptom checker available at 111.nhs.uk, which will re-direct you to a health professional if you need to be seen by someone. If you have persistent symptoms that are not getting better, contact your  practice for advice

Who Will I See?

We have a wide range of clinicians at our surgery.

You will be directed to the most appropriate clinician when you contact the surgery.

In addition to our GP’s, this maybe an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Physician Associate, a Pharmacist, a Health Coach or a Social Prescriber.

Advanced Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses who have done extra training and academic qualifications to be able to examine, assess, make diagnoses, treat, prescribe and make referrals for patients who present with both acute and long term problems.

Physician Associates (PAs) are medically trained, healthcare professionals, who work alongside doctors and other members of the practice team to provide a range of patient care.

Pharmacist has responsibility for medicines optimisation within the PCN, medicines reconciliation, the provision of expert advice on clinical medicines and the undertaking of structured clinical reviews with patients to proactively manage their complex polypharmacy needs.

Social Prescribers provide immediate non-clinical support and connect people to community groups and agencies with the aim of improving their health and wellbeing. Improving your lifestyle or taking control of a practical problem can be very challenging and people often feel daunted at the prospect of change and don’t always know where to start.

Social prescribing link workers help give you the confidence, encouragement and support you need to make and sustain changes that will help you to feel better in yourself.
