Meningitis B Update 20.03.2026
We are aware of recent reports of Meningitis B in the Canterbury area (Kent).
Currently, there is no impact on our local area. We will update you if and when guidance is issued.
General symptoms of Meningitis B can include:
• Fever
• Severe headache
• Vomiting
• Stiff neck
• Sensitivity to light
• Drowsiness or confusion
• A rash that does not fade when pressed (this may not always appear)
Babies may show different signs, such as poor feeding, irritability, floppiness, cold hands/feet, or difficulty waking.
