MORETON GROUP PRACTICE BRANCH CLOSURE
Dear Patients
Moreton Group Practice currently works out of two sites, Pasture Road Health Centre, Pasture Road, Moreton CH46 8SA and 8-14 Chadwick Street, Moreton, Wirral, CH46 7XA.
Moreton Group Practice will cease operating from Chadwick Street by 11th September 2024.
We are pleased to inform you that the closure of this branch site will not affect the service provision at the practice.

Q&As
- Why is the Chadwick Street site closing?
We have run out of two sites since 2022. It is apparent that this is spreading our resources too thinly and the staff are keen to work together on one site.
Having the full team on site enables a better level of peer support for the clinical team and makes the administration team more resilient.
- Will the closure of Chadwick Street mean less appointments?
No. We will not be reducing any appointment availability. All our clinical staff, including doctors and nurses will be continuing to work the same number of days and hours they currently do.
- Will there be a reduction in staff?
No. All our staff will continue to be employed. The majority of our administrative staff are already based at Pasture Road Health Centre.
- Will I still be able to see the doctor/ nurse of choice?
Yes. In the same way you can book now, if you can wait to see the doctor/nurse of your choice you are still able to book in with them.
- Are there enough rooms at Pasture Road?
We are currently in the process of creating additional rooms at Pasture Road Health Centre to accommodate all our practice staff.
- Is Pasture Road site accessible?
Yes. All patient services are on the ground floor. There is an automatic door and disabled parking places directly outside.
- Can I park at Pasture Road?
Yes. There is a free council car park directly in front of Pasture Road.
- Can I get a bus/ train to Pasture Road health Centre?
Yes. There is a bus stop outside of the community centre, which is next door to Pasture Road Health Centre.
Moreton Train station is 0.3mile flat walk from the practice.

- Will there be a new phone number?
No. The phone number will stay the same.
The number is 0151 522 0099.
- Is there a pharmacy nearby?
There is a pharmacy within Pasture Road Health Centre. But you are free to nominate a pharmacy of your choice.
- Can I discuss the closure with anyone?
Yes. We are running two patient drop-in sessions where you can ask questions.
Drop-in session Chadwick Street – Wednesday 14th August at 5.00pm – 6.00pm
Drop-in session Pasture Road Health Centre – Thursday 15th August at 1.00pm – 2.00pm
